Oral and maxillofacial surgery requires up to 6 additional years of hospital based surgical and anesthesia training. As oral and maxillofacial surgeons, Drs. Shahbazian and Minkin manage a wide variety of problems relating to the mouth, teeth and facial regions. Both doctors are highly experienced in all aspects of oral and maxillofacial surgery, including the more routine procedures such as extractions, removal of wisdom teeth, diagnosis and treatment of oral disease, TMJ (jaw joint disorders), as well as a full range of dental implant procedures. Both Dr. Shahbazian and Dr. Minkin are board certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and are fully qualified and licensed by the State of California to provide general anesthesia in their office.

Surgical Staff

The surgical staff at OralCare Associates consists of experienced, certified oral and maxillofacial surgical assistants, who assist in surgery and the administration of I.V. anesthesia. Staff members are well-trained in all aspects of the care we provide, including post-surgical services and patient support. OralCare Associates’ administrative staff members are well-versed in health and insurance policies.
